WhatsApp to Introduce Multi-Device Support for Simultaneous Account Use Across Devices

WhatsApp, the popular messaging app owned by Facebook, is reportedly testing a new feature that will allow users to use their account on multiple devices at the same time. This means that users will no longer need to have their phone connected to the internet in order to access their WhatsApp account on other devices, such as a tablet or computer.

According to reports, the new multi-device support feature is currently being tested by a limited number of users. The feature is expected to be rolled out to all WhatsApp users in the coming months.

The new feature is expected to work by allowing users to link their WhatsApp account to up to four other devices. Once the account is linked, users will be able to send and receive messages, make voice and video calls, and access other features of WhatsApp on any of the linked devices, without requiring a phone connection.

This feature is likely to be a welcome addition for users who currently rely on WhatsApp as their primary messaging app, but find it inconvenient to switch between devices. It will also make it easier for users to stay connected even if their phone is not available, for example, if it is lost, stolen, or out of battery.

It is important to note that this feature is still in the testing phase and there is no official release date yet. However, it is expected to be a major update for WhatsApp and is likely to be widely adopted by its more than 2 billion users around the world.
