Virat Kohli has always been vocal about how much he loves and respects MS Dhoni. He has several times mentioned that MS shall forever be his skipper and they share mutual respect and trust of the highest order. Well, today on the birthday of MS, Kohli took to his Instagram account to post a clip of them together with a heartfelt caption.
The caption read, “A leader like no other. Thanks for everything you have done for Indian cricket. You became more like an elder brother for me. Nothing but love and respect always. Happy birthday, skip.”

He also posted the same pictures on his Twitter account to which fans poured in lot of love. They replied, “Two legends in one frame”, “Both these skipper deserve respect and love”, “Choice of words, always top tier”, Kohli number 1 fanboy of mahi.”
Kohli debuted for India under the captaincy of Dhoni and Kohli often credits Mahi for believing in him and persisting with him during the low phases. If not for Dhoni, Kohli wouldn’t have been the legend of the game that he is today. World Cup semi final match of 2019 was the last time Dhoni played for India and it was under the captaincy of Virat.
Meanwhile Dhoni was spotted yesterday watching Rafael Nadal’s game at Wimbledon tournament. Sakshi, wife of MS also posted a birthday video in which Dhoni is seen cutting the cake and celebrating his 41st birthday.
