Sean Penn thanks Netflix for Winter on Fire-Ukraine Fight for Freedom streaming free on YouTube

With the current situation, Ukraine which was once a peaceful country has now become a war zone. Every day the land is churned into dust, many people lost their lives, homes jobs, etc. Many students from the country especially Indian medical students have been evacuated and safely landed in their home country. The movie Winter on Fire- Ukraine’s fight for freedom is based on a civil rights movement erupts in Ukraine after a peaceful student protest quickly morphs into a violent revolution.

The actor and director Sean Penn thanked Netflix for streaming the movie on YouTube for all-seeing how difficult the situation is in Ukraine. A fact that it’s completely different compared to what is happening in Ukraine but the movie hits the right spots and is sympathetic to people over a stupid political situation.

The actor, activist, and director recalled that he was reportedly in the country working on a documentary when Russian forces invaded. Penn recently tweeted a photo in which he appeared to be walking a road with his luggage amid a long line of cars. “Myself & two colleagues walked miles to the Polish border after abandoning our car on the side of the road,” the tweet read. “
Almost all the cars in this photo carry women & children only, most without any sign of luggage, and a car their only possession of value.”
Penn had earlier tweeted, “Already a brutal mistake of lives taken and hearts broken, and if he doesn’t relent, I believe Mr. Putin will have made a most horrible mistake for all of humankind.”
President Zelensky and the Ukrainian people have risen as historic symbols of courage and principle, he wrote. Ukraine is the tip of the spear for the democratic embrace of dreams. If we allow it to fight alone, our soul as America is lost.
