ICC test rankings: After 6 long years Kohli out of top 10, Pant finds a spot in top 5, check further details now!

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has updated its test rankings today and there are some interesting changes in rankings post the rescheduled match of IND vs ENG. Take a look at the top 10 rankings here:

Key highlights of the updated rankings:

  1. Virat kohli who has been dominating cricket world since years is out of top 10 because of his lack of form. In fact, after 6 years, kohli is out of top 10 rankings. Will this hurt the star batsmen and help him comeback stronger? Only time can answer this.
  2. Rohit Sharma who hasn’t played the test owing to Covid infection has moved down to number 9 in rankings.
  3. Rishabh Pant who rescued India’s collapse on Day 1 of IND vs ENG is the only Indian batsmen to be in top 5.
  4. Joe root who is in his dream form is at top, ruling the longest format of the game.
  5. Bairstow who has been playing aggressive cricket in tests has found a place in top 10 rankings.

India is all set to play T20 and ODI series against England starting from July 7th. Kohli’s form is a concern and his comeback is  highly anticipated by fans. Kohli who is out of top 10 in tests will look to improve his rankings in the shorter formats. Kohli is at 21st rank in T20s and 3rd in ODIs.
